BrightFire is seeking a talented Website / Visual Designer to join our growing team who has a passion for all things design, usability, and user experience. You have an eye for creating great-looking websites and the skills to make them a reality. You have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and best practices that can be applied to BrightFire’s client websites. By collaborating with the Customer Success and Design teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the websites we build exceed our clients’ expectations and provide a great user experience.

The Website / Visual Designer must have knowledge and expertise of WordPress. The perfect candidate must be able to work independently, take direction, and be able to handle multiple projects at once. 

This full-time position is remote in the USA only. 


  • Work closely with the Design and Customer Success team members to design custom WordPress websites for our clients.
  • Together with our Project Managers, you’ll work with our clients to understand key information about their business, their design preferences, and marketing goals. 
  • As part of the Design Team, you’ll offer our clients inspiration and web design advice on best practices to help avoid design and usability issues down the road. 
  • Communicate with clarity, effectively articulating your design decisions within the BrightFire team, while being open to constructive feedback, knowing that collaboration will only make the final product better for the client.
  • Design websites that incorporate other important concepts into design such as Search Engine Optimization, conversion science, ADA & WCAG compliance, and usability.
  • Design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktops.
  • Work with in-house Development team when needed to deploy websites.
  • Produce design assets for use in customer social media channels.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in web design.


  • 2+ years of relevant experience building customer-facing websites.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art Design/Web Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with WordPress.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or any other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your knowledge and experience in web design.
  • Basic proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of design concepts such as mobile-first, responsive, hierarchy, color, typography, layout, interactivity, grid systems, UI, and UX.
  • Ability to incorporate other important concepts into design such as SEO, conversion science, ADA & WCAG compliance, and usability.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details.


  • Experience working with popular WordPress page builders, particularly Elementor.
  • Design agency background is a strong plus.
